Meant for You by Samantha Chase - ARC Review

She dares to dream...
Summer Montgomery wants to be taken seriously almost as much as she wants her brother's best friend, Ethan. But with a long resume of seemingly random career choices and a protective brother on watch, those things are nothing more than pipe dreams...

Does he dare to try?
Ethan Reed would like nothing more than to live by his own rules. Not wanting to disappoint his best friend Zach, or any of the Montgomery's, Ethan's had to push his long-denied feelings for Summer aside. But it only takes one night away from watchful eyes to make impossible dreams come true...

This book was an incredibly light, nice and easy read. I loved the simpleness of this book. Yes, they had to contend with an older protective brother-best friend, but there was no unnecessary drama in this book - which is what I loved most about it. It was just a lovely book.

The prologue to this book, with Uncle William playing match maker, made me laugh and smile. It was simply adorable. He was playing Cupid and it was incredibly sweet.

"Summer is a free spirit; hell, my mother must have known at birth because she gave her the perfect name for her."

Zach's description of his sister summed Summer up to a T! She is a free spirit - however, Summer wants to be taken seriously. After having her heartbroken, Summer moves to the West Coast for space from her family, but also to prove to her family that she can be taken seriously. However, her older brother isn't convinced and wants her to leave.

Ethan has been Zach's best friend since they were tens year old. After not seeing Summer for many years, Ethan was pleasantly surprised to see her when she stepped off the elevator - Summer Montgomery was all grown up, and Ethan liked! However, not wanting to disappoint his best friend and his second family, Ethan knew he had to keep his feelings in check. I especially loved Ethan's loyalty and commitment to his best friend.

However, what happens when Zach sends Ethan to keep an eye on his sister who just upped-and-disappeared. One night away from prying eyes in a Spa retreat might be just the thing these two need to finally admit their feelings for each other.

But what happens when they have to go back to the real world? Will they hide the feelings and relationship or admit to it and deal with the consequences?

Overall, this was a sweet, lovely read that I thoroughly enjoyed reading.

Oh, I also have an idea about the next book - Gabriella and Zach maybe? Big Corporate Boss and his Assistant? I like.
