So I wanted to apologise for being absent the last few weeks. I've just been really busy with exams, and I've started a new job so was working all last week. FOR EIGTH DAYS STRAIGHT. When I got home I was literally too tired to read - which has never happened to me before.
Everything's back to normal from now though. I'm reading again - hopefully finish the book tonight and review it later.

Teaser:
“Tell me to go and leave you alone.”
“I don’t want to be alone. I want to be with you.” He wanted to ask her for how long, but stopped himself, because soon she’d leave and go back to that life she thought she’d outgrown, but would want back because it was familiar. She’d need it back to regain some of the normal from her past in her new life without her sister.
He let loose the reins on his need and pulled her close. He dipped his head, his gaze on her rosy lips. He pressed his mouth to hers for a deep kiss and held nothing back this time. He swept his tongue along hers, melding his mouth to hers. His fingers gripped her hips, let loose, and swept up inside her sweater and up her smooth spine. When his fingertips touched her skin, she sighed and pressed closer.
She rocked her hips against him and he groaned, breaking the kiss to move down her neck and kiss that sweet spot between her neck and shoulder.
“God, you always smell so good.” Her head fell back, and he kissed his way back up her throat to her lips again for another searing kiss.
“Don’t stop,” she said against his mouth. “Don’t ever stop.”
“I’m just getting started.”

The Return by Jennifer L. Armentrout - Release Day Blitz
The Fates are cackling their bony assess off...
It's been a year since Seth made the deal with the gods that pledged his life to them. And so far, the jobs they've given him have been violent and bloody - which is kind of all right with him. But now Apollo has something else in mind for Seth. He's got to play protector while keeping his hands and fingers off, and for someone who really has a problem with restraint, this new assignment might be the most challenging yet.
Josie has no idea what this crazy hot guy's deal might be, but it's a good bet that his arrival means the new life she started after leaving home is about to be thrown into an Olympian-sized blender turned up to puree. Either Josie is going insane or a nightmare straight out of ancient myth is gunning for her.
But it might be the unlikely attraction simmering between her and the golden-eyed, secret-keeping Seth that may prove to be the most dangerous thing of all.
Because history has once again been flipped to repeat.
Excerpt:
I was a half-blood, but I was also the Apollyon, a child of a pure and a half, a union that had been forbidden for thousands of years because an Apollyon was more powerful than any pure or half could ever hope to be.
And I always got to the traitors' hideouts before they did, so the Sentinels were usually left with the cleanup, which I was sure absolutely thrilled them.
The first to enter was a female half-blood dressed just as I was. Her black hair was pulled black in a neat little knot at the top of her head. She was older, probably in her mid-thirties. It was pretty rare for a Sentinel to live that long. Her dark skin paled as she stopped just inside the entrance. She clenched titanium daggers in her hands like she expected something vicious to pop out from under the bloody mess.
The female Sentinel tipped her chin up, and the overhead light sliced across her broad cheekbones. She bore a jagged scar under her right ear, the skin lighter in tone. She saw me and froze.
My smile widened.
Behind her, another Sentinel rushed in, almost mowing her over. He saw me and whispered, "Seth."
He'd said my name like I was the monster under his bed, and I sort of liked that. Then another Sentinel and another rolled in. The fifth took one look at my interior design work and keeled over. Slamming his hands on his knees, he hurled up his dinner.
Nice.
Our society existed completely unknown to the average mortal and had operated what was known as the Breed Order for thousands of years. The Order had been dismantled, which meant halfs were no longer forced to choose between becoming Sentinels - hunting down violent creatures, protecting pures, enforcing laws, and otherwise usually dying pretty damn quickly on the job - or servants, which was a job that really wasn't a job, but more like slavery. Since then, many pampered pures had signed on to be Sentinels, making up for the loss of the halfs who'd pretty much said screw this shit, I'm out."
This wasn't necessarily a good thing.
For example, the dumbass puking all over my blood-covered floor was a pure. When he straightened, his face a greenish hue, he backed away, shaking his head. "I can't," he gasped out. "I can't do this."
Then he turned and hauled ass out the doors. I sighed. This was why we couldn't have nice things.

Bringing Home the Badboy by Jessica Lemmon - Review
The Bad Boy Is Back...
Evan Downey needs a new beginning. Since the death of his wife five years ago, the brilliant tattoo artist has shut himself away in a prison of grief that not even his work can break him out of - and what's worse, Evan knows his son Lyon is bearing the brunt of his seclusion. Moving back to the lake town of Evergreen Cove where he spent his childhood summers is his last chance for a fresh start.
Charlotte Harris knows she owes it to her best friend's memory to help Evan and his son find their way again, but she can't stop her traitorous heart from skipping a beat every time she looks into Evan's mesmerising eyes. Charlotte is determined to stay strictly in the Friend Zone - until a mind-blowing night knocks that plan by the wayside. Now, if they're brave enough to let it, Charlotte and Evan might just find a love capable of healing their broken hearts...
OMG! This book. The feels.
This book was such an incredibly bitter-sweet read. I absolutely adored this book - and Kudos to its kick-ass Author Jessica Lemmon. I loved the romance in this, how Charlie didn't want to betray her friend and her memory. How Evan was never going to back down. Little Lyon. 'Sigh' I think Lyon was just adorable.
So, after watching his wife die right in front of his eyes, Evan believes he and his son need a fresh start. Selling his tattoo shop, he moves to the lake town Evergreen Cove where he first met his wife - and where Charlie, his wife's best friend lives. Evan. He was just so sweet, and I fell madly in love with Evan. I loved how he never gave up on Charlie - he wanted her, and wasn't willing to let go off her or let her run off scared after a wobble. Evan is in his own class - a gentle Alpha. I Know. Weird right? Who's ever heard of a gentle Alpha? Not me, but this is what I dig about Evan. He's just so soft and loveable - but knows what and who he wants, and won't let nothing or nobody get in his way. Oh, can I also say how much I love unusual nicknames that guys give girls - I loved that Evan called Charlie Ace, I loved the story behind it, I loved it's originality - yeah, sure a 'babe' is nice and all, but Ace was special and meaningful. Oh, I also loved how Evan's tattoo's told his life, his story - you see, that's how I see tattoo's. They mean something - a person or memory you don't want to forget, the story of that person's life. I know we don't really meet her, but when Rae said how her needles saved people's lives and Evan's didn't I thought that was incredibly rude and insensitive. Evan's passion is art and tattooing.
He stood over her while she sat on the edge of the bed pulling on her socks.
"Gotcha something, Ace."
Then he took the bandage off his skin and showed her that "something". The letter A and a heart inked into his skin. Over his heart.
An Ace of hearts.
She'd made it onto Evan's canvas.
Let's not forget that canvas either and how it came about. Now I want to be painted... naked... by a hot tattooed guy. Please?
Mrs Anderson tugged the sheet and the crowd gasped when it piled to the ground, revealing the painting.
Charlie gasped, too...
Oh boy.
The very painting she'd asked him to burn. He'd wanted to hang it in the living room, which had earned another "no" from her.
"You didn't, baby," she breathed...
Then a voice cut in, "Ava, is that... a nipple?"
Mrs Anderson turned to her prized possession, tipping her head to study it closer. Evan's waving hand dropped and pressed into Charlie's lower back.
He tilted his chin at the door. "Ace."
She didn't need to be told twice. She moved for the door.
A second later, Mrs Anderson's voice rang out, "Is that a butt cheek?"
Charlie had a teenage crush on Evan when she was 15 - however, Evan only had eyes for Rae, and she soon got over it. Promising her best friend to look after Lyon and Evan, Charlie is doing whatever it takes to help the twosome settle in at Evergreen Cove. I adored Charlie. I loved how simple she was - she didn't drone on about body insecurities and the like. It was incredibly refreshing. However, Charlie had commitment issues. Or lack thereof. Having been abandoned by her father, sister, and boyfriend (who left her for another woman and then proceeded to lecture her, sanctimonious prick) Charlie doesn't believe she deserves Evan or Lyon for herself. She feels awful, like she's betraying Rae's memory - when it's just not true. Rae isn't there, and as a friend and wife should, she would only want Evan, Lyon and Charlie to be happy together. It took her a while to come to this conclusion though...
Now, I know we're getting a story on Charlie's friends, but please, pretty please, say we get an Asher and Gloria novel too? Even if it is just a short novella. I need, need I say, to see what happens between these two...

Losing Track (#2):
Sometimes you have to lose your way before finding the right track.
The roar of a bike engine. The vibration between her thighs. The feel of cool darkness kissing her skin as she coasts along twisty back roads at night - Melody Lachlan lives for these things. Ever since Mel and her best friend Darla escaped their small, backwoods town, they've traveled the countryside in search of fast rides, tatted bikers, and good times. A self-proclaimed poet and lover of all things free, Mel views her life as one long bike ride - with pit stops along the way to numb the pain. But she never saw herself as a junkie. Party as hard as you ride. That's her motto... until a tragic night steals her soul. Then she's forced to delve below the surface, to where her demons rage.
When she meets recovered drug addict Boone Randall, she's more likely to deck him than kiss his dimple-adorable face. She doesn't want his help; doesn't want to own up to her part in that night. She just wants to do her time and keep her promise to her friend. Yet Boone challenges Mel, and soon she doesn't mind sharing the road. Only when Boone's own secret demons threaten their newfound fragile security, Mel's course becomes rocky, and she must decide if letting her well-worn track marks fade is worth finding a new path.
Told from Dual Point of Views from Melody and Boone, this is a New Adult Contemporary Romance intended for readers seventeen years of age and older.

Beautiful Redemption by Jamie McGuire - Review
If a Maddox boy falls in love, he loves forever. But what if he
didn't love you first?
No-nonsense Liis Lindy is an agent of the FBI. Deciding she is married only to her job, she breaks off her engagement and transfers from Chicago to the field office in San Diego. She loves her desk. She is committed to her laptop. She dreams of promotions and shaking hands with the director after cracking an impossible case.
Special Agent in Charge Thomas Maddox is arrogant, unforgiving, and ruthless. He is tasked with putting away some of the world's toughest criminals, and he is one of the best the Bureau has to offer. Though, as many lives as he's saved, there is one that is beyond his reach. Younger brother Travis is faced with prison time for his involvement in a basement fire that killed dozens of college students, and the media wants a conviction. Travis's only saviour is his unusual tie to the mob. In a deal that will spare his brother, Thomas has agreed to recruit Travis into the FBI.
Liis is stubborn, defiant, and yet somehow softens Thomas's rough edges, making her the perfect agent to accompany him to the ceremony. Posing as a couple, they must travel to Travis and Abby's beach vow renewal and give him the news, but when the pretending ends, she finds herself wondering if they were pretending at all.
In the second installment of the Maddox Brothers books, experience firsthand the mysterious world of the elusive Thomas Maddox, and how good love can be when you're not the first, but the last.
I read Beautiful Disaster years ago and instantly became a Jamie McGuire fan. I absolutely loved Travis and that book - but as I matured I developed a distinct taste in literature and the style of writing I loved, thus I outgrew this series. However, everybody was reading about them so I thought I'd give her new series a try. I was extremely disappointed in the first book in this series. I didn't especially care about the first book as I couldn't stand the heroine. I just thought she was a heartless bitch, and I couldn't stand her roommate. Raegan just seemed like a two-faced slut, and I couldn't be dealing with the unnecessary teenage-like drama. I loved Trenton though. So I stuck it out. But then we had the secret with T.J.
And then I read this book...
I absolutely adored this freaking book! I fell madly in love with Thomas and Liis and thought they were both kick-ass! I think I loved this book more than the others because it seemed more mature and older. We didn't have whiny college students doing the whole "woe me" like the previous books. But the whole Thomas being T.J? I did not see that coming!!! I actually thought his secret was he was married at first, or that Camille was his gay-beard or something. Yes, I know what you're thinking. They slept together. So I had to scratch that theory out as well. I even went back to skim Beautiful Oblivion to see if I missed the signs... 'Sigh' I didn't.
Anyway, Liis. Can I just say how much I adored her name. It was a beautiful name, and because I loved her name so much, it's most likely one of my future daughters names (behind Ava and Evelyn). Liis, after moving to San Diego to escape her ex-fiance, goes to her local Pub to celebrate moving into her new Condo and her new job. There she meets Thomas. They have a one-night stand, but Liis believes she is emotionally unavailable so that's the end of that. Or it would have been if Thomas didn't live directly above her. Queue the awkwardness.
"If you wait a second, I'll walk you out."
"I know the way. This is my building. I'm sure we'll run into each other again."
My cheeks paled. "You live in this building?"
He peered up at the ceiling. "Just above you."
I pointed up. "The next floor up, you mean?"
"Yes, but," he said with a sheepish grin, "my place is right above yours. But I'm rarely home."
Oh, but it gets much worse. On her second day of work she finds out that Thomas is actually Agent Maddox, her boss. More awkwardness. I loved these two together. The banter, the sexual tension between the two. It was epic. But then we had Camille getting in the way (yes I am doing her name purposely in italics - sense my dislike of this character, yet?). I especially loved how Thomas thawed to Liis, how he was only soft and open with only her. It was incredibly sweet. Yes, Liis made a slight bit of drama about the whole not-over-Camille thing, but that's expected. Who wants to have feelings for and be involved with a guy who is in love with somebody else? Not me...
"I loved her first," Thomas said. "But you, Liis... you are the last woman I will ever love."
So, you probably get that I hate Camille. I didn't like her in her own book, Liis just fused the fire behind my dislike, and it grew to hatred. And I thought she had some nerve going to their hotel room before the wedding ceremony. Eurgh, moving past she-who-must-not-be-named...
I absolutely adored the Epilogue in this book. It was incredibly sweet. And I loved getting to see what their future would be like a few years down the line.
Anyway, I absolutely adored this kick-ass amazing book, and will definitely be reading the future Maddox Brothers books. You can count on it.

Alison Quick, the twenty-one-year-old daughter of a business tycoon - and the very ex-girlfriend of Boomerang's former intern, Ethan - has a problem of her own. After nearly flunking out in her senior year of college, she has one chance to redeem herself to her father by proving that she deserves a place in his corporate empire. That means spearheading her father's plan to sink big money into Adam's company and launch it into the stratosphere - provided Adam as no skeletons in his closet.
When the two meet, their sizzling chemistry makes it tough to keep things strictly professional. But when Alison discovers Adam's secret, she knows she should bring it right to her father, who'll leverage it for his own gain and use it to ruin Adam. The only problem: she's falling for Adam - hard.
Will earning her father's approval come at the price of losing her first real love? Or can Adam and Alison leave behind past mistakes and conquer the world - together?
